A Rebel Cow's War on Tech

Jazz Cow is an animated Sitcom about a jazz-playing cow who reluctantly leads a group of artists, poets, and misfits in resisting Big Tech guru Dr. Popp, a paternalistic dictator, who is getting the world hooked on algorithms, junk food, AI, and fake filters for a safe, cleaner and more efficient world.

The Time for Jazz Cow is now.

Behind the laughs lies an urgent question:    Can we reclaim our humanity in a world ruled by technology?Take the path of least resistance —constant notifications, pings, texts, and snaps push you to be a version of yourself behind a fake filter. Surrender to the algorithm. Download the app.

Or stand with Jazz Cow and his band at Connie Snots—the holdouts who refuse to go quietly and aren’t backing down without a fight.

Action Sequence Still

The Threat

Dr Popp wants to get his hand on the artisanal bakers, street vendors, fringe theatre and second bookshops. He wants to monetise and franchise, and and get rid of the old guys playing chess in that tiny park. (Don’t they know there’s an app for that?)

Animated illustration of Jazz Cow's setting

This melting pot of misfits, musicians, poets, and free thinkers isn’t giving away their slice of town in a hurry. They look to their figurehead, cult hero, and the leader of the band: Jazz Cow. Think Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca.

Character Expression Sheet Full Width

What to Expect

A witty, laugh-out-loud comedy of clashing perspectives, bursting with compelling characters and a delightfully lively world — full of social insight and silly, unexpected twists.

22-Minute Episodes

The perfect length for sitcom storytelling: long enough to build a three-act structure with room for an A- and B-plot, but short enough to keep the comedy sharp and fast-paced. The format forces tight, efficient writing where every beat counts.

Target Audience

Animated sitcoms connect powerfully with adults 18–45—think The Simpsons, Rick and Morty, Family Guy. But while some lean into cynicism, Jazz Cow follows more in The Simpsons’ footsteps: sharp, surreal, and satirical, but ultimately big-hearted. For grown-ups, but family-friendly enough to watch together—it’s bold, funny, and joyful.

Meet the Cast

Some of the voices and characters bringing the resistance to life

Main Characters & Voice Cast
Jazz Cow and Neiko Actor

Jazz Cow

Rebel Leader
Jazz Cow is a one-of-a-kind, saxophone-playing cow—independent, street-smart, cultured, and well-read. Our reluctant hero claims he wants to be left alone, but a deep sense of justice drives him. As Dr Popp closes in, Jazz Cow, like Rick in Casablanca, finds he has no choice but to fight.

Voiced by Neiko Neal (Bel-Air, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Rookie).
Dr. Popp and Voice Actor

Dr. Popp

Tech Mogul
Dr Popp is the master of ceremonies, a mix of Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg. He doesn’t code—that’s Bash808’s job—but he’s always two steps ahead, shaping the world to be faster, cheaper, and easier, with just a thumbprint and a PIN sent via text. He sees himself as a benevolent paternalist: his algorithms anticipate your desires, even if they were originally his idea. Popular yet insecure, he craves compliments and values conformity over chaos. Fearful of offending, he makes inoffensive music—which often backfires. His appearance is heavily modified: enhancements to sync with tech and stay ‘young,’ including the removal of his own ears.

Voiced by Silas Hawkins (Summerton Mill, The Doctor Who Adventures).
Melody Sheep and Voice Actor

Connie Snot

Owner of the Jazz Club
Connie is a no-nonsense tough East-ender, whose late husband won the club in a boxing fight. But she has a soft spot for Jazz musicians (she is like their mum) often feeding them when they have no money. She has a sketchy background in organised crime. When she took over the club it most people were scared to go into that area of town. She got into Jazz while on holiday in Paris.

Voiced by Jess Robinson (Spitting Image, Horrible Histories).

Papa Moose Brown

Drummer
The Thrillseeker and coiled spring, always looking for something new and exciting. But loyal to Jazz Cow and the club – even if it means having to adapt his amazing drum solos to incorporate coded Morse code messages.

Voiced by Anil Desai, (Sex Education, The Teacher).
PooperScooper and Francis Foster

PooperScooper Thompson

Drummer
The purist and the pedant who won’t let anything go and has to be right. But you need someone around with an eye for detail and who can see Dr Popp is up to. This guy doesn’t miss a thing.

Voiced by Francis Foster, (Mock the Week, The Joe Rogan Experience).

LayFullstop Avatar

LayFullstop

Rapper
LayFullstop hip-hop / soul artist from Manchester, by way of Birmingham, and has been performing on stages alongside well established collectives ‘Cul Dè Sac’ and ‘Roots Raddix’. Lay’s style is an authentic mix of nostalgic soul and UK hip-hop, at times singing in the sweetest of tones, while being able to unleash ferocious bars with such seamlessness, neither style is compromised. Complete with individual eccentricity, this headstrong, fun loving introvert is letting her music do the talking.

NME- “Silky smooth, ‘90s tinged R&B that’s stuffed with pop elements and propelled by her singing/rapping hybrid vocals. A jazzy delight”
